When I use Nero to convert my avi video to vcd (using it's automatic mpeg encoding device) there's no sound when I play it back on my stand alone dvd player. Why is this and why me ?
    Cheers !

  2. To quote what someone once said on this forums: "Nero is the worst encoder know to man". Though I'm sure you could find something worse, Nero is a very poor MPEG encoder.

I strongly suggest you use TMPGEnc to convert your AVI / DivX to MPEG first and then use Nero to author your VCD.

There are guides on converting on the menu to the left: http://www.vcdhelp.com/convert

Thanks, it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one who's had problems with nero.
    Cheers !
