  1. hello..i used dvd2svcd
    and just ripped a dvd...
    i swear..i selected english subs...(i even checked on the subtitles tab on dvd2svcd when i was done and it said english)
    well i see a subdirectory called "subs"
    and in there i see all the english text..subtitles..
    but in the video i don't see any english subtitles..none watsoever
    ...
    how would i be able to transform/convert those into the .mpg ?

  2. simialr thing has happend to me, I done a svcd of Star Wars EP2 and where there where subtitles in the movie for the aliens they didn't appear. I had subtitles clicked aswell but it seemed to not produce the subtitles.

    w/out subtitles...oh well

  6. Are you trying to make a SVCD? Do you watch it on a stand alone deck or on the computer with PowerDVD or other software player? Many decks won't play the SVCD subs, and neither does PowerDVD. I came across this with my apex 1500 too. Best solution for me seems to be subs that are always there, not the selectable ones. This is an option in DVD2SVCD....select it, but remember that the subs are always going to be there and you won't be able to turn them off. If that's okay, that's the way to do. Don't expect your player to be able to select subs with SVCD if that's what you're after. Evidently it's a rare player that can do this.
