I was just wondering which of these give the best results:

    Dolby
    THX
    DTS

and how these can be encoded, what type of video files are they compatible with etc

  4. Ditto, what was the Website?

For SVCD you can only use Dolby Prologic I, II, or any standard Stereo-encoded file. No AC-3 or anything else, except for Multichannel Mpeg which few players and fewer amps support. VCD is same except no multichannel mpeg.

DVD can be authored with AC-3, tools available, but SFAIK nothing does DTS on DVD.
