I have an svcd file that I need to convert to vcd format.
The svcd file was encoded at 23.976fps (film).
I tried to re-encode with TMPG several ways.
I tried a flat out just re-encode of the .mpg (mpeg-2) file.
I tried de-mux'ing the .mpg file and encoding the .m2v and .mp2 files...both seperately and then together. I always get errors and/or out of sync problems with this file (quite possibly a bad sector since it always messes up at the same timecode).
So I figured that frameserving the file from dvd2avi would be the next attempt I should take. I followed the guide posted here, BUT I cannot get the TMPGEnc VFAPI Plugin thats required. The link on this site (to TMPGEnc) no longer contains the plugin. TMPG claims they now incorporated the plugin to the program (as of version 2.59), hence they arent providing the plugin for download anymore.
I have version 2.59 of TMPGEnc, but it (as far as I cant tell) does NOT have the VFAPI plugin support because I still cannot open my dvd2avi project file in TMPG.
I am hessitent about asking on here for the VFAPI plugin incase someone has it, due to the rule about not asking for "warez"....but any help would be appreciated.

My TMPGenc 2. 59 opens the .d2v files from DVD2AVI just fine, and there never was an older version or a VFAPI plugin on this computer. What exactly does it say when you try to open a .d2v file?
And don't forget that you cannot delete the MPG file you made the .d2v from, they are needed during the frameserving.
You could try frameserving with DVDx 2.0 as well, although this is better at frameserving directly from a (ripped or not) DVD.--

When I try to open the .d2v file TMPG says "File x:\test.d2v can not open, or unsupported."
I kept the original mpg file that I made the .d2v file from. I tried opening the .d2v file with DVD2AVI both opened and closed.
