  1. Hi,

I have a mpeg file that i download.
I've try to play it but it wont open
and say that is missing a filter
to rendered the movie. But all others
Mpeg1 and Mpeg2 videos files are working
pretty good. I installed most of the
codecs that are needed and also the
    tsunami pack filters codecs.

Any way i could find out which codec or filter im missing?
or to know what type of file its my mpeg video???
WHen i do right click on the file, theres only one tab!

  4. Here's a few links for codecs you can try... I'm assuming you are on a PC running Windows 98SE or greater, with Windows Media Player 7 or greater.

Download mpeg2codec_installer.zip from http://members.xoom.virgilio.it/MovieManiac/Software/Codecs/Codecs_Video.htm - This one helped me play mpegs in the Windows Media Player.

If that doesn't work, download the Nimo codec pack from http://www.btinternet.com/~nimosiro/ There are a lot of options when installing this, so I'd try the 'typical' before customizing.

Last suggestion. Make sure you have all of the latest Windows Media Codecs, if you're trying to use the Windows Media Player. You can find these at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=73C47878-20D0-...4-177D7E0074B7

If none of that works, see if you're mpegs will open in a DVD software player. If you don't have one, you can download a trial version from http://www.gocyberlink.com

    Good Luck.
