  1. I've couple of mpeg files that are two big to fit on a single cd, so I used the cut and merge tool of TMPGENC to split them up. But when I load them into VCDEasy I get the following error:

    "This MEPG file requries autopadding..."

This does happen with the original file only the cut ones. According to some of the research I've done this happens with the file is multiplexed wrong. How I could fix this problem by re-encoding the file again with TMPGENC.

Now the problem is that I've couple of file that are MPEG-2 and I can't get TMPEG to read them (see my earlier post for detail). Also it's very time consumming way to split a file.

Question, Am I doing anything wrong here? If not, is there another program I could use to split a mpeg file?

Have you tried loading them back into TMPEG through the MPEG tools route. Just load one in, choose merge and cut, and just have it redo the file as an MPEG2 SuperVideoCD (from drop down box). Make sure you redo each file individually. After TMPEG recreates them you should be able to load them into VCDEasy.

If you can't load them into TMPEG via the MPEG tools route then your files must be corrupt in some way and not recogniazle as MPEG2 files.

    Best of luck.
