Can I capture at 720x480 using wintv pci(bt84 using win2k? I read from previous posts that it can using generic drivers, is this true? I can only capture at 640x480 at the moment....

  2. The BT878 chipset used in the WinTV supports capture up to 720x480 (NTSC), but the Windows 2000 drivers limit it to 640x480. With the proper drivers, it should work in 720x480.

Really? Where can I find the drivers(for win2k)? My card's chipset is the bt848, not the bt878....

  4. To be honest, I don't know which drivers will allow that resolution. Perhaps if you search for other boards based on the BT848/BT878 chipset, you could try their drivers to see if they restrict the available resolutions. You could also try Hauppauge's WDM drivers with the VFW -> WDM wrapper, but this will decrease performance, and I don't know if it will work.

Is there some reason why you need to captuyre above 640x480?
