I captured some video from my VCR using an AIW 32MB APG card. Using MMC using SVCD settings. I burned the file to my CD-RW using NTI software. which works great but the playback quality looks like a VCD. What tips can anybody give me to be able to capture SVCD format and make it look like SVCD. what does a good capture depend on??????

Your capture relies mostly on the source as far as how the quality can be. the best way to capture is use vdub w/ huffy codec to capture as AVI (this will be a huge file) then use tmpgenc to convert to SVCD.

But what if the source looks good and the captured and played back on the PC looks good. but the final SVCD burn looks bad...is it still the source????
any setting to be made within vdub w/ huffy codec to get a good SVCD???
