    thinking about going with this card for higher quality vhs captures. i currently own a ati tv monder that will cap. 320 x 240 only. does any body have experience withthis card?

    Your ATI should be able to do better than that... At least 640x480.

    Take a look at this thread. It relates to one I started and I have the AVERTV Stereo PCI card.

    So far the quality issues I have with my encodings may not be the capture card so I can not tell you how good the capture is But I can capture 720x480 with the Avertv (see last post for a test I ran last night). generally I am experimenting with 352x480 since I am trying to understand CVD's.

    Hi
    I have the AverTv Studio. (Same card except i have some extra features)

    IT'S SUPERB

    I capture mpeg2 720x576 at 7500 bitrate.
    I then encode to VCD or SVCD .
    I get great results.

    I can email u a sample (tell me your mailbox maximum)
    Or send u a sample on MSN or ICQ.
