Hi,
I am trying to make a SVCD to play back on a computer but all the default size windows for SVCD seem to be the wrong proportions 480 x 576. Why is this?

Hi Willy,
Thanks for the reply. What I don't understand is why the picture size is portrait and not landscape as it is for showing on a monitor or TV. Surely the picture then has to be stretched to more in one direction (width) than height.Take care

just stretched one way to fit the horizontal sizing.

to play svcd on the computer you need a player that will handle it.
something like powerdvd or windvd.
if you use them you will see the movie at full screen
and it will look like it should.HELL AINT A BAD PLACE TO BE
