    Argos(uk) have this player for £48.75 this weekend. Wanted to know if anyone has experience of it with regard to multi-region, RCE, VCD, SVCD, DVD-R, DVD+R etc...?

    Hi, I've just bought an ALBA 119. I haven't tried a DVD on it yet (not got one) but you can view jpg files on it and it plays Audio CDs. One comment I have got is that I am having trouble getting it to play MP3s. It plays some and then skips others. Don't know why this is (it's not the file name or size or bitrate). I tried to ring ALBA today but couldn't get through.

    I don't have the 119 I have the 114, well 3 of them actually and am very pleased with them. Play just about everything even multiregion out of the box. Can't go wrong with argos even if you don't like it you have a 16 day money back no quibble warranty.
