From my DVD2VI window, it said most of the DVD video are interlaced and flim rate. If DVD or S/VCD is encoded with progressive video, how much bigger will the video file be in size ? I don't thinks it is twice as big, beacuse mpeg compression should be able to do a good job on compressing.
Anyone have try it both ways and end up with a general ratio ?

No general ratio here, but I think the filesize is even smaller, because a progressive source requires a lower average bitrate than interlaced material.

My impression is there is very limited or no 100% progressive DVD video out there, to do this type of test.
Are we just fooling oursleves by watching video upscanned to 480p by DVD player or HDTV ?
