  1. Hi y'all,
yesterday, I tried to play a DVD Z1 for the 1st time on my Samsung SV-DVD1E player... and it happened to work! I was surprised, because I didn't know my player was multizone! But I'd like to be sure : does it really mean my player is multizone, or does it allow me to play DVD Z1 only a few times? And if it is the case, when it happens to be the last time, will it still be possible to use hacks to make it multizone?
Hope my question isn't that stupid, and thank you guys 4 your answers!

Most players allow you to change region 5 times - then they are stuck on one region. (The same as the DVD you played when it switched region the fifth time.)

That is true for PC DVD-ROM's but not stand alone DVD players. That machine is multiregion 1-6 and rce compatible.

  4. So, Craigtucker, does it mean that I have nothing to do ? (I wouldn't have my player stucked into zone1 whereas all my collection is zone2!)
Thank you anyway for your answers!

  5. No you dont have to do anything, the player is multiregion. It won't get stuck to a region.
