Trying to capture with a ATI TV Wonder USB device. With the TV tuner software from ATI I have sound, but if I try to capture with that software I get lots of dropped frames and out of sync audio... With VDub there are no drop frames and no audio... I am running a P4 1.8Mhz with 256megs of RAM and my harddrive is set to DMA. Any help would be great....

Always check your mixer settings 1st. then, maybe it's the selected device... (You might have onboard sounds and a souncard...) There are no settings for sound input in virtualdub, but your other software might be changing your mixer settings without your intervention, thus giving you sound. Good luck

I have tried every setting for the sound card... with this being a USB device, does it use the sound card?

Hi,
my capture card has a sound input, but I use the Sound card for it.
I had to play a little with mixer settings: check "hidden" features of the mixer.
If a sound input is present also on the capture card, try using it instead of sound-card-line-in.
Consider capturing also with a different software: IUVCR works fine for me (thanks to the guys who told me about it, in this forum)
