  1. Ok i finally found out what's happening.

When i enter a folder that contains a mpeg2 movie (doesn't matter what size), the folder crashes.
I'm not using preview mode, i'm using list or details mode.

Does anyone know how i can solve this problem ?

    I'm using WinXP.

This happens to me too (for both MPEG 1 & 2) when I select the file - when Windows try to create that preview window in the left margin. The solution is to never select the offending MPEG with the mouse. I use a DOS window to manipulate these files, and WinDVD to view them.
I think this is a problem that is caused by Nimo codec pack, that has replaced some codecs with versions that Windows doesn't like... If anyone has a cure for this, I'd be happy to listen!

  6. Try not to use media player to view vobs or mpeg2,cause it rarely
will read it, and if ur not careful ur system might lock up,happened
a few times, stay away from media player 9,its stilll in beta mode,
if u get it,make sure sys restore will work, dont get movie maker2
from microsoft either,it dont work,it just blue screens you in XP

Yes, might very well be WMP9 too. I can live without WMP until MS finds it to release the real thing. If the latest effort (Release candidate!) is anything to go by, it's gonna be some time - I can't find any improvements since the beta when it comes to what formats it handles...
