Does anyone know of any issues with Firewire Cards and XP/Movie Maker?
I don't always get a signal from my Canopus, but WMM is detecting it. The resulting file that is created from this is unplayable saying that the Codec is missing or the file is corrupt.
Then later, as if by magic, all is well again.
Anyone got any ideas?

the only thing i can think of is that you might be using a texas instruments firewire card, in which case there is a severe compatibility issue...maybe you'll want to check it out...
good luck! -
Alenhard,
Thanks for the reply.
I have found out what the problem is, it was Windows Movie Maker that was at fault. I tried a copy of Edit Studio 2 and it now works every time.
It takes ages to sort some of these things out1Cole
