Whenever i download a certain file off a website i get an annoying error.

'could not be saved, because the source file could not be read'

I know its the anti virus blocking it.
    I am running NOD32.
I really want this file. Even though it's dangerous.

Can i somehow over ride this by disabling something then re enabling it again later? Thank you.

You would have to disable the anti-virus program, although I don't believe it is your problem. NOD32 won't see the virus until it is downloaded and can be scanned. The few times I have encountered this error message it has always been a problem at the server end, not mine.

Thats a good idea. I then get the anti virus saying its picked up a virus on there. Then i go to services and its already stopped then i take ito ut of task manager and still get the problem. I cant seem to stop it detecting viruses. I just need to prevent it just this once!

    Thanks mate.

If it has a virus then it will pick it up at some point once it is on that machine. And why you would want to deliberately put an infected file on a machine is a mystery. Unless NOD has the ability to be told not to scan a particular file - some sort of exclusion list.

    Otherwise your choices are limited.

Find a non-infected version of the file, or if NOD is wrongly identifying it as a virus, find a different anti-virus product.
