    Just bought the Pioneer DV-305, playback on region 2 dvd's are fine, yet on region 1, I only seem to get black and white, I have tried 3 different region 1 dvd's yet no colour, any ideas ??

    Just a quick reply .Is region 1 the US,does that mean its playing back as NTSC(US format) if this is the case SOME TV's etc will not display the correct colour or for that matter ANY colour.Just an idea but take it with a pinch of salt !!!!!
