i'm using an s-vhs vcr and dv-bridge to capture a video tape of low quality picture and mono sound. the question is, should i use a s-vhs out cable for the video and 2 rca cables for audio during capture or all rca cables? i would like to get the best possible quality picture from this tape even if the results show little difference. any suggestions are appreciated

Alot has to do with the output of your specific VCR, my best advice would be to do 2 sample clips.
Connect it up using the RCA plugs and record a 3-5 minute clip, then do the exact same clip using the s-video cables. Compare the two and see which you think is better.--
