I recently finished ripping my first DVD and converted it to DivX AVI, so I decided to watch it to see if everything went ok. I fast forward to the middle of the movie and notice that the sound sort of skips to keep up with the video (well, the video seemed kind of fast too, now that I look back).
If anyone could tell me what the problem was, I would be very appreciative.

I tried making an AVI again, but using a bitrate found with a different calculator. Eventhough the bitrate was a little less then the original, the video was still too fast for the sound.
Anyone have any ideas on what I should do or use?
