  1. I need to find out how to take audio from a concert DVD (AC3 file) and convert it to a wav file and also put the next song points in it. Does anyone know of a guide on this and if not maybe the programs you would need to do this? I want to make a music CD of some of my live concert DVD's that I have.

  2. One way would be to rip the DVD to your harddrive using SmartRipper (or another rip program) then use DVD2AVI to decode the selected audio track. You'd be left with a big .wav file then. Of course it would be a .wav file of the whole DVD but you could always split it using Goldwave, Cool Edit or some other audio editing program.

Just go through the first two steps, ripping and frameserving.

I think there's a program called VOB2AUDIO that extracts a .wav file from the ripped DVD .vobs on your hard drive. That might be a better approach for your needs. I suggest doing a search in the forums for VOB2AUDIO.

    GGS.

PS. try this guide. It uses VOB2AUDIO.

Another possibility... Use Something like SmartRipper or DVDX to rip one CHAPTER at a time (which should correspond to different songs), then demux the resulting MPG (with TMPGEnc?) and you should get the audio by itself (probably WAV format), which you can then encode.

  5. Try HeadAC3he (in the Tools section). It'll convert .ac3 to .wav in one step. Good luck.
