    I'm using the Demo version of SVCD2DVD v2.5. The completed DVDs have no audio.

    System-Win XP Pro, less than a month old (plenty of space, memory, processing speed);
    VCDs were opened with VCDEasy. The mpegs have audio-44000 Hrz;
    The DVDs created appear to do everything right except...they are silent;
    I'm using Verbatim DVDs.

    Am I missing a setting somewhere to generate 48000 Hrz audio?

    I really would like to get this software to work and get the full version. I have several Chinese tv series that are available only on VCD (one has over 60 VCDs...) and I would like to combine episodes into something less unwieldy.

    Please help. Thank you.

    The only difference is that I am now using the registered version, with the same silent result.

    No sound when played with PC? Install AC3Filter. Or no sound in DVD standalone?

    Thanks.

    I'm at work now, but I'll try the latest attempt in a standalone player tonight. The earlier disks were just just as silent in standalone players as in the computer. The *.mpg files loaded as assets to make the DVD had no problem with value.

    Well if that still is a problem - can you use the "makesample" tool in the "Tools" folder to create a 5MB sample and email that to me to test please?

    Will do when I get home later tonight.

    I like what the video looks like, and I'd really like to get this program to work for me. VCDs are still a popular format for Chinese tv series (I am addicted to costume/swordplay series, and am learning Mandarin the better to follow the stories) and even legitimate releases are sometimes only available as VCDs. I just ordered a 40 VCD series. Being able to convert these to DVDs would make watching them more convenient.

    It is not unusual for Hong Kong VCDs to have 2 audio tracks--one in Cantonese and one in Mandarin. One selects the right or left audio channel when playing them. Is it possible to select one of these for recording onto a DVD? [Not an issue with the present problem--it's from Mainland China, which has mandated the use of Mandarin in movies and tv.]

    Everything is now working fine! I wanted to try the disk on different players and computers before proclaiming success, but everything is working.

    Thank you for your help!
