I'm converting SVCD episodes of Firefly I've downloaded to DVD mpeg-2 using tmpeg. WHne I do, the audio comes out sounding all tinny. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

SVCD audio is 44.1kHz, DVD audio is 48kHz. If you are not using an external tool tmpgenc will use its built-in sample rate converter, and that's a common cause of tinny or hollow sounding audio. Try installing ssrc as an external audio tool for tmpgenc, or convert the audio by hand with besweet. I think some other post in the forums said that the latest version of tmpgenc has a better sample rate converter, so that might also be worth checking out too.
