OK guys,
In my previous attempt to capture video from a camcorder via analogue input into an ATI All-In-Wonder Pro 128, using VirtualDub I was get about 15.9 fps, though I am using PAL and requesting 25, size 352x288.
I loaded the latest VIA 4in1 Drivers - no joy
I noticed my motherboard only when to ATA/33, I bought an ATA/100 controller card and now my DMS shows mode 5 - still capturing at 15.9 fps.
Could the problem be the TV card itself? Does it perform any processing? I will try capturing from a VCD direct to bypass the card and see what I get.
Any other tests I can do to isolate the problem?
Are there any other bottleneck areas?
My 350Mh AMD K/2 show average CPU usage of about 20% in V-Dub when caputuring.

Help!!
