  1. help!!!! can someone answer me a question.. i've played around with tmpgenc settings a lot.. i've tried filters/changing bitrate/and fps...
    why does windows media player play my avi or mpeg perfectly clear but when i go to burn the exact same move it looks horrible??? is there anyway i can copy the settings or even find out what the settings of media player are and put them in tmpgenc.. any help would be appreciated...

    Assuming your looking at the video on your TV with your DVD Player, the mpg is being shown at 200% its original size on a TV, and a computer monitor (depending on your screen resolution) is alot more detailed. Run your screen resolution at 800x600 and ZOOM windows media player to 200% (not "full screen"!) and you should get a decent representation of what the final product will look like... Not exact, but pretty close.

    One reason why your video is horrible is that you probably burnt your file at a very high speed. Try burning 4X and lower and see if that helps. :P
