  1. I've downloaded a movie (110 mins) and I'm trying to burn it with Nero. It's a DivX.avi file and when I hit the write button Nero starts encoding it. Problem is that nothing more happens. Is is because the file is too big/the movie too long? Do I have to split it up manually or will Nero do that? I could really use a complete "how to" guide from the point of having a movie file (be it avi, mpg or whatever) to the point of burning it (I know that I'll need two cd's).

Can someone help me or direct me to a site which has an extensive guide for soopid newbies?

    Thanks,
    Karen.

  2. Just want to add that when I try to encode the file with TMPG it says that the format is not supported.
So it seems that no matter what I do there's just no way to get it right.

What format you burn it to with Nero
If data CD then there shouldn't be any problem as long as your AVI file size smaller than the CD (650mg/60 mins or 700mgb/80mins)
If video CD then it won't work because your video file is an AVI format, VCD or SVCD is MPEG not AVI.

  4. Since it is on divx format, you might as well hang up the possibility of burning it with Nero until you encode it to mpg with another program first.
