  1. John E Boy was saying I could burn the .bin/cue file through Nero, but he was saying that he usually just burns the muxed.mpg files. What is the difference between burning the .bin/cue files, or the muxed files? Any difference in quality? I've noticed that the muxed.mpg files are usually 10 to 20 MB's smaller then the .bin/cue files, any particular reasons why?

  2. If you are just "burning the MPEG files", then you are using Nero as the VCD authoring proggy. Although Nero can make some simple rudimentary menus, it is not recommended as their menu's are buggy and don't play properly on all players.

If you make a CUE/BIN image of the VCD first, it is implied that you are using VCDImager as the VCD authoring proggy. With VCDImager, you can make menus, chapters, etc.

The CUE/BIN image will be larger than just the MPEGs as it is the entire image of the VCD (that contains more than just the MPEGs). If you burnt a VCD from just the MPEGs with Nero and then extracted a CUE/BIN image of the disc, the size will be very similar.

Yea... the reason i dont burn the bin/cue files.. is because i have no desire for menu's or chapters... i just want the movie.. no fancy stuff for me
