  1. I have a number of AC3 encoded films which have been working perfectly in the past. I'm not sure where i got the AC3 codec from, However I have had to rebuild my machine (Windows XP SP1) and downloaded the Nimo codec pack to install all the relevant codecs. Initially every time any film was opened in media player it would crach with an error message. After removing the Nimo Pack and installing DivX5 and XVid seperately all but the AC3 endoded film play correctly. The AC3 films play at a quarter the normal speed and have a constant beeping sound in them. I've tried another AC3 encoded which i downloaded via the Div-Digest site but the films still has the same problem. Is there anyway to correct this problem or uninstall the originally installed codecs manually. Nimo Lite does'nt help either and this is not the first time Nimo has crashed my PC The previous crash was on a Windows 2000 pc, so i doubt if this is a problem with the operating sytem.

  3. Thanks i've solved the problem by downloading an AC3 codec from another site. The problem now is that there is no option to use the Mpeg Layer 3 audio codec within VirtualDub. I know that it's on the PC as I used Winamp and WMP to play MP3s. Is there anyway to "import" the codecs from this program into Virtualdub?
