I have an avi (divx) that has an VBR error when you open it in virtualdub.I have fixed this many times with saving out a wave in fullprocessingmode. Then save as an avi with the new wave file...But when i try to save the wave (in audio fullprocessingmode) i got error message "The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format.Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format". Im running virtualdib 1.4.9 what the hell is wrong here... I can only save the audio out as an wave ,in direct stream copy mode. And then when i convert it to mpeg2 in tmpgenc the audio is out of sync....

In vdub, what does it say about audio when you select file->file properties. If it says 5 channels you have Ac3 audio.
Anyway, I would suggest saving it out using direct stream copy the try either Besweet or, if Ac3, Headac3he to convert it to an uncompressed wav. -
My God!!!
I hade the older codecs on my laptop but not in the other computer where i had this problem, now it says Fraunhofer MPEG layer 3codecs. So the older divx3 codecs got it right, i had to download it again.
And no, it says "2channel stereo".
Thanks for trying to help Bugster.
Good to get some problems solved...... -
draven,
how about trying:
Source --> vdub --> tmpg --> Audo Only *.mp2
then,
mp2 --> Headacke --> *.wav
Then,
source --> vdub [Audio/Import *.wav] --> tmpg = done ??
maybe? ?
