  1. I have a couple divx files(avi) that I want to encode the right way. Most of them come in different bit rates. For example I have one at 20 fps. I have TMPGEnc Plus. I usually just load the SVCD template and extract the audio with Vdub and save it as a WAV and encode. I still get some poor quality with the pictures. The boxes in action scenes and so one. I was just wondering if there was a way to improve the quality of the movie with TMPCEnc or any other program. I am not to familiar with this stuff kind of a n00b, but I am a fast learner. I was also wondering if there was a site or something I could get more templates from...maybe they would help. I am not to good at manually setting things. Usually just makes things worse. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Garbage In - Garbage Out. If your source is crappy and very compressed like divx, asf and similiar you cant do much to improve the quality.
