What is the optimal burning speed? I have read many web sites that says only burn at 4X. I have burned SVCD at 40X with my plextor 40/12A burner and they play fine on my sony dvpnc655p standalone. Just wondering if I'm not seeing something. TIA!!!

you've got a good drive, as long as you're using good media, you should be fine..
the media isnt super important, but its always good to use good media.
