Ahead has updated their Supported Recorder List

During the last few days the Sony RW DRU-500A has been added to this list– at last!

BUT what is surprising is that this has been supported since version 5.5.9.11B
However in the Table no speeds are shown, overburn, CD-Text and buffer underrun protection are supported (I interpret ‘x’ to mean not supported and ‘-‘ to mean is supported in this table)

Other recently released recorders also appear, for example the Pioneer DVR105, which is shown as being supported since 5.5.8.9

I thought it was the other way around, Xs indicating support and hyphens showing an unavailable feature.

Interesting!

When I went to school, and that was quite some time ago, a tick was correct and a cross was incorrect, hence my conclusion!

My other reasoning is that according to Sony's spec. sheet CD-Text is supported, and I read in one of the reviews quote" While Nero says that the DRU-500A can overburn". Can't find anything to back up - buffer underrun, but then with 8mb buffer memory...

BUT I'm not saying I am correct!
