You might as well be asking which color is best. This is completely subjective and for every person that prefers TMPGenc there is someone else that prefers CCE.

There have been so many threads on TMPGenc vs. CCE. If you want other peoples opinions on the matter just do a forum search. The only opinion that really counts is your own so why not just try them both out and see? There are demo versions for each encoder.

easydvd, what about people like me who prefer CCE 1 pass VBR to TMPGenc 1 pass vbr/CQ? Now THATS what I call faster.

As has been said so many times before...for the most part both encoders can do the same thing. The main difference is that CCE is MUCH faster and TMPGenc is MUCH cheaper.
