I am a NEWBie
I am trying to learn how to author VCDs I am havng problems with multiplexing programs like a WinTV VCDconvertApp and TMPGEnc .

TMPGenc starts converting my Mpeg file , but after a few minutes XP tells me it has"encountered a problem" and it shuts down.

WinTV VCD convert app encounters a problem as soon as I try to open it so doesnt even open.

Im sure it is something to do with my PC setup , but Im at a complete loss.

Ive recently upgraded my system with a new MB and CPU to P4 2Ghz.
OS is XP.

Im sure its a simple setting, anyone got any ideas at all.
