I'm fairly new at this and have just discovered this site, so hopefully someone can lead me in the proper direction. I'm doing lengthy captures using XP, with two similiar machines, both with MSI motherboards, one has the Pinnacle DV/AV capture card, the other had ATI's "All in Wonder Radeon 7500", both have 256 of DDR ram.
I've tried just about every commercial piece of software out there, but have had the most success with capturing with Pinnacle's Studio 8, and burning with Pinnacle express. I've never gotten Studio to finish a disk. It always seems to hang up after about 8 hours of rendering.
The problem I'm having is that after 30 minutes, the audiovideo is noticably out of sync, and after 45 minutes, it's become laughable.
It's been suggested to try Virtual Dub & Virtual VCR, and that is my next step, while waiting for a reply
I'm also looking to do captures up to and maybe slightly exceeding 120 minutes. Express does decent quality, but only up to 114 minutes.
I've just purchased Intervideo's Win Producer 3, as it seemed to do everything I needed it to do, but everytime it would render, it would spit the TDK blank disk out and say it couldn't access the DVD writer. Tech support has ignored my requests, so any suggestions here would be helpful as well.
Hopefully, I won't be a newbie forever...
