  1. Quick question about these two programs....

I have easy cd creator platnum which burns dvds but i see alot of people talk about using nero.

does nero burn the dvd differently? I noticed one of the new dvd->dvd-r guides says to use nero but select the audio-ts and video-ts folder. this is what i do with easy cd...

so is this just choice or does nero do something else? more compliant?

    thanks

Nero is more stable. It also tends to produce less coasters and uses fewer system resources.

It also doesn't have all that newbie crap and huge buttons.

It also allows much more cutomization of the media, such as ISO regulations and such.

Also, i believe personally it supports more types of burns. (it did SVCD long before EZCD.)

  4. I have Roxio's Easy CD Creator Platinum but I don't know how to burn MPG2 files with it for playing on a DVD player. I have installed the latest revision, 5.3.2.32. It seems to me it is not for burning movie DVD's. It does burn data DVDs and VCDs only. Am I missing something?

  5. falberni.... whatever program you use to create DVD menus you need to tell it to create a DVD folder...

then in EZCD select create DVD data project, find the folder created on your hard drive and add it to the project and burn.

look for video_ts and audio_ts folders.

DVDit and Spruce DVD have make dvd folder options.

everyone else... thanks for the response. i figured it was just preference and small things like features. thanks again

A bit harsh Greg12; we've all got to start somewhere.

Nero could be a bit daunting for the newbie, but a recent upgrade introduced Nero Express which has tackled that issue.

I have just converted from Easy CD to Nero myself.

  8. I though Nero is easier, everthing is drop and go.

Still, GO NERO ( except it don't support old panasonic SCSI burner. )
