    hi
    i wanna convert asf files...TMPGEnc does it but it takes so long.
    i wanted to do the sound seperate but VIRTUALDUB dont support asf files.
    is there anything out there that does? so i ca do the sound seperate then load the asf file n sound file in TMPGEnc?

    o yeah im convertin asf to mpeg...makin vcd.

    If you intend to any volume of conversions with asf or wmv learn to use graphedt.exe If you do a google search on graphedt you'll find several guides complete with pictures. Combined with url snooper it will even download asf's and wmv's from launch.com that asfrecorder and streambox vcr choke on.

    Virtual Dub's version 1.3c DOES support ASF files, get it from the Tools section (scroll down half page to the Simple editing, only joining and cutting section and in Virtual Dub's description you will find a link to 1.3c version).
