I previously used several programs on my temp PC to convert a compressed DivX to uncompress the audio stream to PCM, then decompress the video stream to MPEG, then finally use a burner program to transfer to videocd. Well, the program to uncompress the audio stream (it's called decompress, it comes with AVI2VCD) somehow doesn't work anymore, it keeps telling me to reinstall DirectX. No matter how many times I reinstall DirectX 7a, it still gives me that BS message. I was just curious if anyone knew of any better decompression program that wouldn't give me this annoying message. Thanks in advance for any replies!

If you mean decompressing audio as in converting mp3 audio to PCM wav then try dbPowerAmp. You'll find it in the tools section. WinAmp must also be able to do such a thing. Never tried that one myself.
