I was converting some avi files to mpeg with TMPGEnc, the file size was 3.9G but the output file was corrupted or something like that,I am converting videos from my H8 video camera and the quality of the picture is "super" I burned a cdrw and played in my dvd machine and the quality,, wow,,,I can't ask for better results,I am very happy with the pictures.. but if I want to capture long movies,like 10 minutes I have some kinda a conflict with TMPGEnc,anybody know anything about this issue?? thanks,,,ji ji,now my analog H8 video camera has a real value,I paid like 500.00 few month before the digitals came out.
I have like 25G free 256ram,16ram video card,celeron 566mhz.camera Panasonic PV-L679

Are you having problems with files when they are approaching 4gig in size, if so this is a limitation of the fat32 file structure not TMPGEnc. I don't quite understand when you say you are having problems when capturing over 10 minutes you have conflicts with TMPGEnc. TMPGEnc is encoding software not for capturing.
Basically if you want to go over the 4gig filesize limit you need to use NTFS files structure or capture to segmented files using software such as virtualdub. Windows XP,NT and 2000 support NTFS
