I´ve been using TMPGenc to convert a avi movie into a mpeg wich I then burned to a vcd with Nero, but the audio quality is very poor, how can i improve it?

how do you mean poor?
you could try using external audio tools--definitely ssrc for downsampling, and maybe even 2lame for encoding.
or, you could do audio only separately w/besweet gui, and video only w/tmpg and multiplex them later
--I recommend doing them separatelywhat are you askin' me for...
I'm an idiot!
