Are you asking about the new panasonic mpeg2?
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

Last year I used the Panasonic plugin with flask and found it to be a very good encoder. I also frameserved to the Panasonic standalone encoder and it was just as good.

Now I mainly use tmpgenc because of it's flexibilty in making non-standard xvcd and I got interested in the templates that are available for it.
My experience with CCE is limited to a few demo clips but from what I have read, CCE is supposed to be a good mpeg2 encoder but not as good with mpeg1.

Tmpgenc and Panasonic are equally very good but then tmpgenc is free.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.

  4. From experience CCE is a fast but poor quality MPEG-1 encoder at VCD bitrates (i.e., CBR 1150 kbit/s).

Panasonic and TMPGEnc do a much better job.

  5. So CCE is much better for MPEG2 at high bitrates?

Word on the street is TMPGenc is the best for mpeg1 (some people support panasonic for that, but not a large number). For mpeg2 the main contenders are CCE, TMPGenc, and mainconcept. Panasonic is supposed to be good but I don't know if it has been compared head to head lately. CCE is the favorite for mpeg2 quality (for SVCD and DVD applications).

  8. dhany, what you do in your own time is none of my business. However, the forums is a strictly no warez zone.
