Hey guys, me and a few mates, made some movies using our webcam, and then managed to join them all together using virtualdub and everything turned out great, but now i have a problem.
I decided to make a "credits" avi, so i used animation shop to create the avi.
When i try to join my avi onto the "movie" avi i get this error...
"Cannot append segments: The segment has a different number of streams"
both movies are divx 5 and both are the same frame rate and size.
Does anyone know how i can fix this problem?
Oh i'm using viretualdub to do all this.
Thanx
Chewie

It appears to me that this error means the audio streams do not match. In order for vdub to join two avi's together not only must the video streams be the same (as you know) but the audio streams must also match in terms of sampling rate and number of channels (and maybe other params, not sure). Check this is so.

Ahh but the problem is, my "credits" movie which i made in animation shop has no sound!
So i took the sound off of the movie, and then joined the movies together, and laid the sound back over the top.
Thanx for the info
