how to capture a picture from a dvd

Hello,
I'm trying to capture a picture from a dvd.
I tried it with acdsee capture, corel capture and AMcap.
I capture an area to the clipboard and paste it in coredraw or photoshop.
Thats working alittlebit strange, but it works.
When I save it as a bitmap, jpeg or a gif the picture I saved is dissapeared when I stopthe dvd, and all I have left is a black picture.

Who knows what I'm doing wrong?

Play the dvd in power DVD, At the point you want the still, press pause then press the capture stills button. (The button with the camera on it ) The still will be saved in my documents.
