After reading guides and experimenting, I still don't know how to do what I think should be a simple process.
I want to take VOBs from several different DVDs (all family video) and author them into a new DVD without re-encoding. Most all the guides are aimed at some re-encoding to change size etc.
I have tried Ifoedit but can't figure out how to create the new IFO, BUP, etc files required.
I would be happy with just restoring the mpeg2 files from the VOBs and be able to author again with those.
Any help would be appreciated.

Use SmartRipper (Stream Processing) to demux the video and sound from the vobs. Then you can re-author a new DVD with the combined files.
