Which Editor ???

Can anybody recommend a good editor for Mpeg 1 &2 files . Pretty new to this sort of thing and need to find an easy starting out program to edit and add some effects to my mpegs ... Thanks in advance to any responses !!!

My favorite is Ulead Video Studio 6. However, the easiest to use, in my opinion, is TMPGEnc's Source Frame Editor.

Hello-Ulead Video Studio 6 is a pretty cool program, not too hard to use. I like it because it works with many different video formats. You can download a trial from their website. It has a fair amount of effects. TMPGEnc is a quality program as well, although it may better for a more experienced user. You can learn more from TMPGEnc than just clicking away at VS6, both programs have their place.
