Ive recorded some vids on my camera and they are in MPEG4 format. I was just wondering if any one knows a simple software that alows me to cut a specific part out of the video in any way. Ive looked around but everythings a little confusing with all the amount of formats. Thanks!

try virtualdubmod or windows movie maker.

Are you going to want to put it on dvd? IF so you'll need to use a converter to make it into an mpeg 2 file for authoring later. Otherwise you might be able to leave it as is and play it on a divx capable dvd player - though your cameras codec may or may not be supported on that particular model.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Really depends on what you mean by MPEG4. Could mean MPEG-4 video/audio in an mp4 container, MPEG-4 video in an avi container, MPEG-4 video in an asf container, MPEG-4/quicktime, etc.
