    first, my english is not so good but i try my best.

    ok here we go:
    i have ripped from hell (german) such how the howto said it.
    but the finished mpeg "splutters". iam not sure if this is the right word for it. the movie hangs vor some miliseconds every 2 secs. lag.

    whats wrong, what should i do ? other settings in TMPGEnc ?

  2. This sounds like a framerate problem. You say it was a DVD rip, but was it in PAL (25fps) or was it NTSC. If it was NTSC and you encoded to PAL (or vice versa) in TmpGenc this is how it would look.

    Check the framerate of the original and select the appropriate template with a matching framerate in TmpGenc.

    Don't worry if you have to encode to NTSC and you live in a PAL region, chances are your standalone player and TV will play it without problems.

    the dvd is pal, and i ripped it in pal with smartrip and made a svcd in pal but what about the configuration of dvd2avi ?
