I'm in the midst of recording a few videos to video tape for a collection (yeah, I still sorta prefer vhs - don't hurt me!). Anyway - I have the Dazzle DVC usb internet edition - i.e. it's pretty much obsolete - but what are ya gonna do!

Anyway - I have 1 svcd I was to convert back to mpeg which is playable in the program, etc. I haven't been able to track down any tools to do this. To convert Pal encoded Mpegs I make them into avi's using VirtualDub - and then into Ntsc mpegs with Xing Mpeg Encoder - if you feel I should be using better programs, please let me know!

- Also just a side question, with some of the videos, I'm having an audio/video sync problem. The video is played back through the dazzle, and the audio is connected straight from the speaker output on the computer. I tracked down some troubleshooting for the Dazzle, and it had me go in to the control panel/multimedia sound settings/ and basically reduce the audio acceleration. I did so all the way to it's minimal level and got the audio to sync up properly with most of my mpegs, but 2 of them remained still faster. My computer is 1.2ghz processor, 80 gb hard-drive - it's still pretty new, and runs fantastic, so I don't think it's really a computer problem. - and just to be clear, when I play the videos on the computer with WMP or whatever mpeg player I have open - it plays perfectly and properly.

Sorry for being so overly thorough, I've been encoding videos for websites for awhile, but am still basically a newbie at this. Thanks ahead for Any help you might be able to give me!

Cheers!
