  1. I am about to start to convert some VHS tapes to a CD format that will work on a work mates DVD player, it’s a Sony 300 series which is locked to region 2. OK, the forums have given me the info I need to as to what the DVD player will play and how, my question is –

If the player is locked region wise and I do not want to use say two of three CD-R’s, when I get my DVD writer can I create “Burn” VCD’S, XVCD’S onto a DVD-R, or DVD+R and use the medium as a large capacity CD-R format?

This would get away from the multiple disc problem, and allow space saving on the living room shelf?
