How to exclude VOB files from DVD-R

All guides speak of removing vobid's from a vob file, but what if warnings and other rubish are contained in different VOB files then the main movie.

How can I exclude a VOB file from being played before the menu and/or movie.

For example, a sinple DVD like 'The Others' has 4 vob files. The fourth is the main movie, the others contain warnings and intro's. How can I maintain the menu, but keep the first 3 vob's from being played?

It's different for all dvd's but generally speaking if you are using ifoedit to see what titles are played then lets say for instance vts2 set is the main movie then vts_02_0.vob is the main menu the rest are the movie files i.e vts_02_xx.vob and so on. Ifoedit does tell you what id's are required to run the main menu and scene selection so you should know what you don't need. Okay now say vts_01_xx.VOB's are the other title set that is played you should be able to leave these vob's out but still copy over the .ifo and .bup files and make the movie playable i have done this on a few movies 4 to be precise and 3 out of 4 have worked and went straight ot menu without any copyright screens. So 3 outta 4 aint bad. Also you can load the vts_01.ifo file and strip the ids from it.

I just tried leaving some VOB out, but with the IFO files included, but at playback I get an error saying a file could not be opened.

With Shrek I tried ripping some vobid's from VIDEO_TS.VOB but after that I get the language selection screen at startup, but I can't select any of the options. i don't get the rectangle around the language when selecting one either. I tried all combinations, but none works.
